The building plans for the school were first drawn out on 14 March 1955 , two years before the school opened by Tooley & Foster Architects of Buckhurst Hill.
To the bottom of the plan is Elmcroft Avenue. At the top right is the River Roding which came very close to the school buildings. The river was later diverted to the other side of the M11.
As you can see , there are no plans for the Rosla which was completed in 1973. And the original plans only had one Gym hall , the larger sports hall came later.
